A Dynamic and Challenging Question
Why is it, when some of us are faced with adversity, we grow stronger and more resourceful? And why is it, that others in the same situation, retreat and shrink away from the challenge?

My answer comes from a long-time, personal experience with a movement disorder. The need for an improved quality of life may only be met through motivation. A more favorable outcome may only be accomplished through work, work, and more work!

Some people with severe injuries are able to make excellent recoveries because of their unshakable willpower paired with a passionate desire to pursue a goal through focused rehabilitation. Without a doubt, motivation, dogged determination, and consistent application can overcome some seemingly insurmountable barriers – whether they be physical, mental, or emotional.

Modern medicine can present the facts, theories, and techniques for improvement. But each individual must make the effort necessary to initiate and sustain successful therapeutic progress.
